A New Project Begins Here
The Childhood That Was Taken
My True Story
For years, I told myself that what happened in my childhood wasn’t “serious enough” to write about.
That it was better to forget, to move on, to act as if survival was the same thing as healing.
It wasn’t.
What happened to me didn’t disappear just because I learned to stay quiet about it.
And silence was never proof of peace — only proof of fear.
This is not a novel.
Not a re-imagined past.
Not trauma polished into something poetic.
This is the testimony of a child who was never protected,
and the voice of the adult who finally refuses to stay silent.
Some chapters will hurt.
Some will be quiet.
Some will be written with the kind of clarity that only comes after decades of trying not to remember.
There will be no revenge in these pages.
No exaggeration.
No apology.
Just the truth — the way it should have been told the first time.
If you want to follow this journey, chapter by chapter, you can subscribe here.
Nothing will be paywalled.
Nothing will be softened.
The first installment is coming soon.

I didn't start talking about my childhood until my late fourties/early fifties. 🫂❤️
This must be a very courageous undertaking. I honor you for both your courage and your insight and your integrity.
