A wolf's mouth is not always a threat. Sometimes it's a question. Sometimes the boy says yes — and the wolf starts at his groin.
The giant's hands know every inch of the woodcutter's body. The woodcutter is on his knees, mouth full, and has stopped counting the nights.
The witch collects young men like candles. Lights them one by one — and it's not just the candle that burns.
The dragon doesn't want gold. He wants skin. Bare male skin, slick with sweat and fear.

this sounds really exciting interesting characters to immerse oneself in
Ooooh that’s exciting! MM twist on fairy tales and myths. I am looking forward to these.
Having read a few of Angela Carter’s re-framing of fairy tales, as well as “Snow, Glass and Apples” by him-who-must-not-be-named which very much breathed new life into stories I’ve been familiar with since being knee high to a grasshopper, I want to see where you are taking this material, Arden.
I fondly remember my aunt babysitting my sister and I telling us Grimm’s Household Tales. Anderson’s Little Mermaid cries out to be turned into a Little Merman and who knows what Ursula might turn into in your hands…an embittered old merbear ? After all Ursula literally means female bear, so Disney gave you a gift right there.
I am thrilled you are taking these on through your unique lens.
