Silent Realization
Twelve long hours in the depths of the night,
The exhaustion seeps into my bones, heavy and tight.
My steps are slow, my body worn and frail,
Before the early dawn can lift its pale veil.
I gave away my soul, my focus, my time,
Believing that souls echo in rhythm and rhyme.
But distance sometimes remains just that—a space,
And words fall softly without finding their place.
I hold no anger, I expect no grand sign,
We all carry our fates, as I carry mine.
Yet in this stillness, a clarity grew:
Real care isn't loud, nor a distant view.
It isn't an expectation, nor a fleeting line,
But the quiet presence that stays beside mine.
There is one who truly listens, calm and deep,
Who asks for nothing, yet holds what I keep.
I don't have to prove myself, or pretend to be whole,
I am accepted as I am, body and soul.
I let go of the longing for what cannot be,
And cherish the light that truly shines for me.
The warmth wasn't where I kept searching above,
It was right here, in quiet, unwavering love.
