World-Shaking Longing
I lie in my bed, awake and so cold,
My thoughts in the dark fly to you, untold.
I think of you now, though we haven’t yet met,
The one that my fate hasn’t granted me yet.
I long for you deeply, your name still a sign,
Yet I feel your scent, as if you were mine.
Though your space is empty and you are not here,
The voice of your soul in my spirit feels near.
I feel that you love me, though I am unknown,
I know that you live in this world, all alone.
I know you remember me somewhere tonight,
In this very hour, in the same lonely light.
We two were created for each other's heart,
But fortune or fate keeps our pathways apart.
No permission is granted to cross ways just yet,
To finally hold what we cannot forget.
Perhaps not right now, not in this life we see,
But one day our paths will join boundlessly.
And when it arrives, it's a world-shaking love,
That shatters all time and the heavens above.
But until then I lie here, and think of your grace,
While the cold, painful silence of night takes your place.
I send you my sigh through the dark, far and wide:
Wherever you are, come and find me inside.

You're welcome, my pleasure. That was beautiful and the angst made my eyes water!❤️
